Thank you for participating in the SCORE! NCLEX® Championship Bowl. Good Luck to All!

Official Rules

  1. Schools attending the SNAP 59th Annual Convention may participate in the competition.  Only one team per school is allowed.
  2. Each team must consist of five participants, but may include one alternate participant.  At least five participants must be present at the beginning of the competition in order to compete.
  3. Each participant will have his/her own button to depress to answer the questions.
  4. The entire question and answers will be read by the moderator.
  5. The first participant to hit his/her buzzer will have the opportunity to have his/her team answer the question within 5 seconds.  If the buzzer is depressed before the entire question is read, that team loses the opportunity to answer that question.  The opposing team will then have an opportunity to answer the question after it is read by the moderator in its entirety.  The time limit for the opposing team to answer the question is 5 seconds after the question is read.
  6. Participants may hit the buzzer during the reading of the answers by the moderator.  The team must answer the question within 5 seconds of hitting the buzzer.  If an incorrect answer is given, the other team may answer the question within 5 seconds after the moderator reads the question and all the answers in their entirety.
  7. The total number of rounds in the competition will depend on the number of teams entered to participate.
  8. With the exception of the final round that will determine the winner of the competition, each round will consist of nine questions.  The final round will consist of fifteen questions.
  9. The team that answers the most questions correctly in that particular round will be deemed the winner.
  10. The teams competing in each round will be chosen by lottery.  In the event that there are an uneven number of teams competing, the last team selected by lottery will compete against the losing team with the highest score for their particular round after all other rounds are played.
  11. Any inappropriate behavior, language or unsportsmanlike conduct by any participant will result in disqualification of the entire team from the competition.
  12. All decisions relating to the competition will be made by independent volunteer moderators and score- and time-keepers in their sole discretion and are final.
  13. All participating teams are expected to attend and participate in all convention activities, such as the House of Delegates, workshops and keynote address.
  14. An award and trophy will be presented to the winning team at the Awards’ Banquet.  The winning team will receive six complimentary tickets to the Banquet.
